Jesus Christ Quotes

Jesus Christ is an enlightened mystic and the religion of Christianity is based upon the teachings of Jesus Christ. One of the fundamental teaching of Jesus Christ was love for fellow human beings and this is very much needed in current time. From Jesus Christ teachings we learn forgiveness, faith in god, repentance and love for humanity.
Selected Quotes of Jesus Christ are:
  1. The kingdom is within you and it is without you.

  2. Whoever is near to me is near to the fire, and whoever is far
    From me is far from the kingdom.

  3. Cleave a piece of wood and i am there;
    lift up the stone and you will find me there.

  4. If you will know yourselves, then you will be known
    and you will know that you are the sons of the living father.
    But if you do not know yourselves, then you are in poverty and you are poverty.

  5. Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

  6. Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

  7. According to your faith be it unto you.

  8. Jesus said: it is impossible for a man
    to mount two horses and to stretch two bows;
    and it is impossible for a servant to serve two masters,
    otherwise he will honor the one and offend the other.

  9. Whoever drinks from my mouth
    shall become as i am and i myself
    Will become he, and the hidden things shall be revealed to him.

  10. Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?

  11. You have heard that it was said, "Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth." But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if someone wants to sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.

  12. Blessed are the solitary and elect,
    for you shall find the Kingdom;
    and because you come from it you shall go there again.

  13. Blessed are the poor in spirit,
    for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
    Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
    Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
    Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they will be filled.
    Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
    Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
    Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
    Blessed are those who are persecuted
    because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
    Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
    Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven,
    for in the same way they persecuted
    the prophets who were before you.

  14. Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.

  15. Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

  16. Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

  17. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

  18. Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

  19. Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness.

  20. It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

  21. You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
