Sai Baba

  1. Be simple and sincere.

  2. Try to conduct yourself in such a way as not to injure others.

  3. If you have the inclination to do good work, God will give you the time to do good things.

  4. Do not use poisonous words against anyone, for words wound more fatally than even arrows.

  5. Make the home a seal of harmony.

  6. Each country is but a room in the mansion of GOD.

  7. God can be felt and experienced only in the deepest depths of silence.

  8. Friendship is the expression of unshakable LOVE, LOVE that is noble, pure, free from desire or egoism.

  9. If the mind of man is not reformed and purified then all the plans to reform the world will be futile.

  10. Doing one's duty, however small, in an unattached manner gives rise to the awakening of self-awareness.

  11. MAN strives to provide himself with food clothing and housing for the sake of the body. He must also provide himself with something to keep the mind healthy and happy. It is the mind that conditions even the body. The mind is the instrument, the flywheel, and the thickest comrade of man. Through it, one can ruin oneself or save oneself. Regulated and controlled, channeled properly it can liberate; wayward and let loose, it can entangle and bind fast.

  12. Human desire is illimitable and without end. It makes you pursue the mirage in the desert; it makes you build castles in the air; it breeds discontent and despair once you succumb to it. But develop the thirst for Krishna (name of hindu god); you discover the cool-spring of Ananda (bliss) within you. Krishna-nama (god name) makes you very strong and steady; it is sweet and sustaining.
